Since his calling to the Québec Bar in 2011, Mr. Raphaël Morissette practices law within private law firms, in business law and in commercial and civil litigation.

He joined Lafortune Cadieux in 2016, first as an associate and, since May 1st, 2021, as a shareholder.

He acts as legal advisor for a vast clientele of well-established corporations, small and medium-sized businesses and their shareholders, directors and officers, in many major commercial transactions, including venture capital and institutional investors financings, sales and acquisitions of private corporations, and corporate restructurings and reorganizations.

Mr. Morissette is used to complex contracts, tailor-made for our clients, by example in matters of assets purchase agreements, shareholders agreements, contracts of protection / assignment of intellectual property, service agreements or distribution agreements.

Mr. Morissette also has extensive litigation experience, having represented his clients before the courts in almost all areas of civil law (civil liability, securities, insurance, estates, sales, leases) and in many business, public and administrative law cases. He successfully negotiated the settlement of numerous commercial disputes and is always looking, for our clients, towards practical solutions, rooted in the reality of business.
